Multi-Product Setup
Multi-Product mode tracks several products that belong to one parent company - each scored as its own product, even when they share a website.
When to use it
Choose Multi-Product when one company sells multiple products you want to track separately - for example a security vendor with SSO, MFA, and passwordless lines that all live under one domain. If your brands are separate businesses, use Multi-Brand instead.
How Product mode changes scoring
This is the part that makes Product mode different. When deciding whether a product was mentioned in an AI answer, the judge:
- Credits a mention only for a distinctive name - the product ("Okta Verify") or its parent company ("Okta"), alone or together ("Okta MFA").
- A company name counts on its own - a bare vendor name like "Okta" is credited to that vendor, even without the specific product name.
- Ignores generic category words - "SSO", "MFA", "2FA", "passwordless", "authentication" count for no one, even when a word exactly matches a product's name. They describe the category, not a vendor.
This is why naming matters: give every product and competitor a distinctive product name and a parent company. Generic names get lost, because a bare category word is never counted as a win.
Setting up products
- Create the workspace in Multi-Product mode (see Workspace Modes), then set your parent company in each product's Brand Details.
- Add each product with its distinctive product name and its domain - products may share the same domain.
- Add competitors as products. For each rival, set the competing product name and its parent company. See Competitor as Product.
- Set up prompts and monitors per product, then run them.
- Review results - mentions are credited at the product level, and unknown vendors surface in Discovered Entities.
Reading the results
- Product-level Share of Voice - each product is scored on its own distinctive product and company names.
- Generic category words are ignored - a bare "SSO" or "MFA" isn't counted for any vendor.
- Discovered Entities lists genuinely new vendors the model named that aren't in your competitor list yet - your known parent companies never appear there.
Limits & gotchas
- Distinctive names are essential. A product named only after a category word will rarely register a mention.
- Products sharing a domain is expected here - Gracker doesn't treat that as a duplicate.
- Set every competitor's parent company - it's what lets the judge separate a product mention from a company one.
