Content Gaps

Content Gaps shows you which specific pages on the web could be optimised to help your brand appear in AI responses for prompts where you're currently invisible. For each prompt where you're not appearing, GrackerAI finds the pages that are closest to being citation-worthy. so you know exactly where to focus your content investment.

How It Works

For each prompt in your library where your brand isn't appearing in AI responses, GrackerAI:

  1. Analyses the prompts where you have a visibility gap
  2. Searches your indexed pages for the ones closest to answering that prompt
  3. Re-ranks the results by how likely optimising them would improve your citation chances
  4. Surfaces them as gap candidates

The gap candidates are ranked by two signals: how relevant the page already is to the prompt (retrieval score) and how likely it is to earn an AI citation if optimised (rerank score).

Each candidate carries its URL, both scores, and a rank. If several sections of the same page match, they collapse into a single candidate - the page's best-ranked match - so you never see the same URL twice.

Availability: Content Gaps is enabled per workspace. If it's switched off for yours, the page stays empty regardless of your data.

Reading the Content Gaps Table

ColumnWhat It Means
PromptThe exact prompt where your brand has a visibility gap
Candidate pagesHow many pages could close this gap if optimised, e.g. 3 pages. Shows error if the computation failed for that prompt
OptimizeOpens the optimisation workflow for that prompt, pre-loaded with its candidate pages

Only prompts that actually have candidate pages appear here - a prompt with no candidates isn't actionable, so it's hidden. On rows that errored, Optimize is disabled.

Each row also has a task action, so you can turn a gap straight into a tracked to-do without leaving the page.

Finding the Right Gaps to Act On

Use the search bar to filter by keyword in the prompt text. Use pagination controls to work through your full list (20, 50, 100, or 200 rows per page).

When you come back to the page, the last row you opened stays highlighted - so you don't lose your place working through a long list.

Prioritise by:

  • Prompts with high commercial intent where you have zero visibility
  • Candidate pages you own (your own domain). you can optimise these directly
  • Candidates with high rerank scores. they're closest to being citation-ready

How Gap Data Stays Fresh

Content gaps are computed automatically as your responses are analysed - there's nothing to trigger or refresh manually. Publish new content and the gaps recompute on their own as the next runs come in.

Taking Action: Optimize

From any prompt row with candidate pages:

  1. Click Optimize on the row
  2. The Improve Visibility workflow opens pre-filled with this prompt's context and its candidate pages
  3. Choose Improve Existing Content to rewrite one of the candidate pages, or Create New Content to generate a fresh article for the prompt instead

This is the fastest path from identifying a gap to generating the content to close it.
