Discovered Entities
Discovered Entities shows brands and products that AI surfaces are mentioning in your tracked responses - but that you haven't added as tracked competitors yet. It's how GrackerAI surfaces unknown competition in your category.
Where to Find It
Go to Data → Discovered Entities.

What It Shows
Every AI response GrackerAI captures is scanned for brand and entity mentions. When an entity appears frequently but isn't in your competitor list, it surfaces here.
| Column | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Name | The entity as AI refers to it |
| Mentions | Total times this entity has appeared across all tracked responses |
| Distinct Prompts | How many different prompts triggered a mention of this entity |
| Distinct Surfaces | How many different AI surfaces have mentioned this entity |
| First Seen | When this entity first appeared in your responses |
| Last Seen | Most recent mention |
Drilling Into an Entity
Click any row to open the detail drawer. Two tabs:

Mentions
Every individual mention - with the response ID, prompt text, AI surface, country, position in the response, sentiment, and a context snippet showing exactly how the entity was mentioned. The AI surface each mention came from is shown as a column here, so you can see which providers mention the entity most.
Prompts
Rolled up by prompt - how many times this entity appeared per prompt, which surfaces mentioned it, and when it was first and last seen on that prompt.
Search and Filter
Use the search bar to filter by entity name. Useful when you already suspect a specific competitor is appearing in responses and want to confirm.
Promoting an Entity to Competitor
When you find an entity worth tracking formally:
- Click the row to open the detail drawer
- Click Add Competitor
- A pre-filled form opens with the entity name
- Add the domain and any aliases
- Click Save
The entity now appears in your tracked competitors list and will be included in all future analytics comparisons. Promotion applies going forward - past responses where it was an unknown entity aren't reclassified.
How Entities Are Detected
GrackerAI extracts company and product mentions from every AI response automatically. Generic terms and common words are filtered out - only entities that appear to be named brands or products surface here.
Entities are deduplicated using canonical name normalisation, so variations like "Acme Corp" and "Acme" resolve to the same entity.
Pagination
Use the rows-per-page selector to show 20, 50, 100, or 200 entities per page. The default is 20, sorted by total mention count (highest first).
