Authors
Configure author profiles under Portal Settings → Authors. Author bylines matter for both SEO (E-E-A-T) and AEO (AI engines weight authoritative sources).
When to Use Authors
- Editorial content — Blog posts, articles, opinion pieces
- Technical content — Security analysis, engineering guides
- Branded content — Anything where credibility matters
For pure programmatic pages (e.g., glossary entries), authors are optional.
What to Include
For each author:
- Full name
- Title and company
- Short bio (2–3 sentences)
- Profile photo (square, 400x400 minimum)
- Author URL (LinkedIn, X, personal site)
- Areas of expertise
Why This Matters for AEO
AI engines look for E-E-A-T signals: Expertise, Experience, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness. A page with a credible byline + author schema markup gets cited more often than the same content from an anonymous source.
For cybersecurity content specifically, AI engines weight bylines heavily — a CISO author or a CISSP-certified researcher signals trustworthiness in a category where accuracy matters.
Schema
GrackerAI auto-generates Person and Author schema for each profile. No manual schema work needed.
