Slack Notifications

Slack Notifications

Get GrackerAI alerts in Slack so you don't have to log in to know something changed.

Setup

  1. In Slack, install the GrackerAI app from your workspace's app directory
  2. In GrackerAI, go to Configure → Integrations → Slack
  3. Click Connect Slack and authorize the workspace
  4. Pick the channel(s) for different alert types

Alert Types

Configure each independently:

AlertWhen it fires
Visibility dropScore drops >15 points week-over-week on any monitor
Sentiment regressionNegative-sentiment responses spike
New competitor citationA new competitor appears in your Citations top 15
New high-occurrence URLA new URL with 10+ occurrences enters citations
CVE mention (cybersecurity)A new CVE matching your tracked keywords is published
Daily digestOnce-per-day summary of yesterday's activity

Recommended Channel Routing

For B2B SaaS marketing teams:

  • #marketing-aeo — Daily digests, sentiment alerts
  • #marketing-urgent — Visibility drops, competitor moves

For cybersecurity vendors:

  • #security-content — Daily digests, CVE alerts
  • #security-urgent — Active campaign monitoring during incidents

Reducing Noise

Slack alerts are valuable when rare. If you're getting notified more than 3–5 times per day:

  1. Raise alert thresholds (visibility drop from 10 → 20 points)
  2. Reduce daily digest frequency
  3. Consolidate channels
  4. Mute non-critical alert types

A useful Slack integration is one you check; a noisy one is one you mute.
