Slack Notifications
Get GrackerAI alerts in Slack so you don't have to log in to know something changed.
Setup
- In Slack, install the GrackerAI app from your workspace's app directory
- In GrackerAI, go to Configure → Integrations → Slack
- Click Connect Slack and authorize the workspace
- Pick the channel(s) for different alert types
Alert Types
Configure each independently:
| Alert | When it fires |
|---|---|
| Visibility drop | Score drops >15 points week-over-week on any monitor |
| Sentiment regression | Negative-sentiment responses spike |
| New competitor citation | A new competitor appears in your Citations top 15 |
| New high-occurrence URL | A new URL with 10+ occurrences enters citations |
| CVE mention (cybersecurity) | A new CVE matching your tracked keywords is published |
| Daily digest | Once-per-day summary of yesterday's activity |
Recommended Channel Routing
For B2B SaaS marketing teams:
#marketing-aeo— Daily digests, sentiment alerts#marketing-urgent— Visibility drops, competitor moves
For cybersecurity vendors:
#security-content— Daily digests, CVE alerts#security-urgent— Active campaign monitoring during incidents
Reducing Noise
Slack alerts are valuable when rare. If you're getting notified more than 3–5 times per day:
- Raise alert thresholds (visibility drop from 10 → 20 points)
- Reduce daily digest frequency
- Consolidate channels
- Mute non-critical alert types
A useful Slack integration is one you check; a noisy one is one you mute.
