Cross-post content to Dev.to to reach developer audiences and earn dev-community citations.

Setup

  1. In Dev.to, go to Settings → Extensions → DEV API Keys
  2. Generate a new API key
  3. Paste it into GrackerAI under Configure → Integrations → Dev.to

When to Use Dev.to

Dev.to is high-leverage for:

  • Developer-focused B2B SaaS (dev tools, observability, auth, infra)
  • Cybersecurity content for technical audiences
  • Open-source-related announcements

It's less useful for:

  • Sales/marketing audience content
  • Compliance and audit-focused content
  • Executive thought leadership

Cross-Posting Workflow

After mapping:

  1. Generate or edit content in GrackerAI
  2. Click Cross-post to Dev.to
  3. Set canonical URL to your primary domain
  4. Choose publish or draft

Canonical URLs

Always set the canonical URL to your primary domain. Dev.to respects canonical tags, so SEO/AEO authority flows back to your site.

What Doesn't Transfer

Dev.to has a simpler content model than WordPress:

  • Custom schema beyond Article is dropped
  • Some HTML formatting is normalized to Markdown
  • Embedded media beyond images requires manual addition
