It can operate 'wirelessly', even with standard magstripe or credit card readers, by creating a strong electromagnetic field that mimics a traditional magnetic stripe card. Important: MagSpoof does not allow you to use credit cards for which you do not have legal authorization.
Understanding Chip-and-PIN and Amex Information

Merely having a credit card number and expiration date is insufficient for completing transactions. However, MagSpoof does enable you to explore various topics related to magstripes, microcontrollers, and electromagnetism, as well as to learn about and create new applications.
