A Low Interaction Honeypot with Medium Interaction Capabilities
This is a low interaction honeypot that can also function as a medium interaction honeypot. Project status: It is no longer in active development. The repository will remain available for anyone interested in using or contributing to HoneyPy. However, I recommend using the honeydb-agent instead, which you can find here: https://honeydb-agent-docs.readthedocs.io/
HoneyPy is developed in Python2 and is designed to be easy to install and deploy. It allows for extensions through plugins and loggers, and supports custom configurations. You are welcome to follow the QuickStart Guide to get started quickly.
The main documentation can be found here
You can find the main documentation at the HoneyPy Docs site. Live HoneyPy data is shared on Twitter at: https://twitter.com/HoneyPyLog. Additionally, this data is accessible through the web service endpoint and is displayed on the HoneyDB website: https://riskdiscovery.com/honeydb. We encourage you to leave an issue or feature request! Use the GitHub issue tracker to share your thoughts with us. Pull requests are also welcome! If you're interested in creating new plugins or enhancing existing ones, please feel free to do so. NOTE: HoneyPy has primarily been tested and run on Debian and Ubuntu with Python version 2.7.9.
