How we measure AI search visibility

The data and the formula behind every brand page.

What we measure

For each of 200 B2B cybersecurity brands, we ask: when AI assistants answer cybersecurity-related questions, how often does this brand's domain get cited as a source, and how prominently? Higher score = the brand is winning the AI-citation game in its category.

The four-factor score

Every brand gets a single 0–100 score, a weighted blend of four measures:

  • Citation rate (50%): share of queries where the brand's domain was visible to AI and AI actually cited it.
  • Citation rank (25%): when cited, how high the brand ranks in the AI's source list (lower number is better).
  • Search-volume share (20%): share of monthly search demand on the brand's visible queries that came from queries it was actually cited on.
  • Search trend (5%): last 3 months' search volume vs the prior 3 months across the brand's tracked queries.
