The amount of data that can be concealed within a JPEG file is influenced by its filesize. Specifically, it requires approximately 10-14 bytes of the JPEG file to store each byte of the hidden data. The simplest method to achieve this is to add the length of the data at the beginning. A jsteg command is provided, which serves as a straightforward wrapper around the functions available in this package.

Automatic Handling of Length Prefixes and JPEG Identification

It automatically manages length prefixes and utilizes a magic header to identify JPEGs that were created by jsteg. Additionally, a more specialized command called slink is included. Slink embeds a public key into the data.
