This tool serves as a ready-made solution for auditing your Azure or GCP cloud environments. Additionally, it provides a framework that enables you to create your own cloud monitoring software for auditing purposes. As a monitoring tool, it performs the following functions: 1. Retrieves data about each configured cloud using the cloud APIs. 2. Saves or indexes the retrieved data into each configured storage system or indexing engine. 3. Analyzes the data for potential issues and generates events that represent the detected problems. 4. Saves these events to the configured storage or indexing engines and sends alerts to designated alerting destinations. Each of these four aspects of the tool can be customized through a configuration file.
For example, the tool can perform multiple data indexing tasks
For example, the tool can be set up to retrieve data from Azure and index that data in Elasticsearch. At the same time, it can also pull data from GCP and index the GCP data in MongoDB. Additionally, the tool can be configured to monitor Azure for unencrypted disks, generate events related to these disks, and send alerts via email whenever an unencrypted disk is detected.
