This is a user-friendly and lightweight API wrapper designed for Censys APIs (censys.io). It currently supports Python version 3.8 and above.

This library is compatible with Python versions 3.8 and 3.x, specifically the current version 3.10. Important Notice: The Censys Search v1 endpoints have been deprecated as of November 30, 2021. You can install the library using pip by running the following command: - pip install censys If you need to upgrade the library using pip, use this command: - pip install --upgrade censys Alternatively, you can install the library using poetry by following these steps: - git clone https://github.com/censys/censys-python.git - cd censys-python/ - poetry install For enhanced usability, you can enable tab completion for the command-line interface (CLI) by adding this line to your ~/.bashrc, ~/.zshrc, or an equivalent file. Please note that autocomplete is available for field names in the search command: - eval "$(register-python-argcomplete censys)" To set up your search credentials, you can either run the command: - censys config Or you can set the environment variables CENSYS_API_ID and CENSYS_API_SECRET: - $ censys config Censys
